1.1 HP Inc. UK Limited ("HP", "we", "us" or "our") is inviting members of the public to submit recipes and related content for potential inclusion in an HP recipe book and associated marketing materials.
1.2 By submitting content, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions. 1.3 Submission of content does not guarantee publication, inclusion in any recipe book or use of any submitted material.
1.4 By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge that they may be invited to attend an event hosted by HP, where there may be an opportunity to meet Lorraine Kelly. Attendance at the event is entirely optional and any meeting
with Lorraine Kelly is not guaranteed. Participants who attend the event will receive a copy of the book. Any travel, accommodation or other expenses incurred in connection with attending the event will be the sole responsibility
of the participant.
1.5 If a participant is invited to attend an event hosted by HP and agrees to attend, the participant acknowledges and agrees that they may be photographed and/or filmed during the event.
The participant acknowledges that any photography or filming captured at the event may be used by HP and its appointed agencies in finished social media content, internal case study films and materials created for internal and awards
purposes.
2.1 Participants must be residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over.
2.2 Employees of HP, Daniel J Edelman Limited ("Edelman"), their group companies, agents and anyone professionally connected with this initiative, together with members of their immediate families and households, may not participate.
2.3 By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge that they may be subject to eligibility and surface-level verification checks before being confirmed to attend an event hosted by HP.
3.1 Submissions may be submitted between the dates specified on the submission platform.
3.2 HP reserves the right to extend, shorten or close the submission period where reasonably necessary.
3.3 All valid recipe submissions received from the original launch date of the recipe submission period up to and including the closing date will be eligible for consideration as part of this opportunity.
Entrants who have already submitted a valid recipe do not need to resubmit their recipe to be considered.
4.1 Participants may submit: (a) recipes; (b) optional photographs of recipes, recipes being made or enjoyed;
(c) optional personal stories, anecdotes or background information relating to the recipe; and (d) other materials requested through the submission process.
4.2 Participants must ensure that all submitted content: (a) is lawful; (b) complies with these Terms and Conditions; (c) is accurate to the best of their knowledge; (d) is suitable for publication by HP.
5.1 By submitting content, each participant warrants and represents that: (a) they created the recipe themselves or otherwise have all rights necessary to submit it;
(b) the submission is their own original work and has not been copied substantially from a cookbook, recipe website, food blog, social media account or other third-party source;
(c) any photographs, stories or supporting materials included in the submission are their own original work or are used with appropriate permission; (d) they have all rights necessary to grant the licence described in Clause 7;
(e) the submission does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights or other rights of any third party; and (f) all information provided is accurate and not misleading.
5.2 Participants warrant that any content submitted complies with these Terms and Conditions. Participants agree to indemnify HP against losses arising directly from breach of this warranty.
6.1 Submissions must not: (a) contain unlawful, defamatory, offensive, discriminatory, obscene or inappropriate content; (b) contain personal data relating to another person without their consent;
(c) contain addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses or other unnecessary personal data; (d) include photographs of identifiable individuals where appropriate permissions have not been obtained;
(e) infringe any third-party intellectual property rights; or (f) otherwise create legal, regulatory, privacy or reputational risk for HP.
6.2 HP and its authorised service providers may review, moderate, remove, reject or cease using any submission that HP reasonably believes does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
6.3 HP reserves the right to request further information from participants regarding the ownership, authorship or provenance of any submission.
7.1 Participants retain ownership of their submissions.
7.2 In consideration of HP reviewing, considering and potentially publishing the submission, each participant without payment or compensation grants to HP, its affiliates, agents, service providers, publishers and contractors
a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to use; reproduce; publish; print; display; distribute; promote; communicate to the public; edit; adapt; translate; reformat;
and create derivative works from, the submission or any part of it, in any media and for any marketing, promotional, editorial, educational or business purpose.
7.3 The licence includes the right to: (a) publish the submission in an HP recipe book, which may be made available as a free downloadable resource on the HP Printables website; (b) publish extracts from the submission;
(c) publish content online, in social media, marketing materials and printed publications; and (d) permit third parties acting on HP's behalf to undertake the foregoing activities.
7.4 To the extent permitted by law, participants consent to the modification, adaptation and editing of their submissions and agree not to assert any moral rights in relation to such modifications.
7.5 HP is under no obligation to publish or use any submission.
8.1 HP may make reasonable editorial changes including: (a) correcting spelling, grammar and formatting; (b) modifying layout and presentation;
(c) resizing or editing photographs; (d) shortening content; and (e) adapting content for publication.
8.2 HP will not be required to obtain participant approval for such editorial changes.
9.1 Participants acknowledge that HP may publish their: (a) name, or first name only; (b) town, city or region; (c) recipe title; and
(d) other attribution details, alongside published content.
9.2 HP may decide whether and how attribution is provided.
10.1 Participants may use tools, including artificial intelligence tools, to assist with drafting or editing their submission. Submissions wholly or substantially written by artificial intelligence tools may be rejected at HP’s
sole discretion.
10.2 Participants remain responsible for ensuring that all submitted content complies with these Terms and Conditions and does not infringe third-party rights.
11.1 HP Inc. UK Limited acts as the data controller in relation to personal data collected through this initiative.
11.2 Edelman will collect and process personal data on behalf of HP for the purpose of: (a) administering the submission process; (b) reviewing and assessing submissions; (c) contacting contributors;
(d) supporting publication activities; and (e) administering and promoting the recipe book initiative.
11.3 Personal data may include: (a) names; (b) email addresses; (c) photographs; (d) submission content; and (e) information voluntarily provided by contributors.
11.4 Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and HP's Privacy Statement [https://www.hp.com/gb-en/privacy/privacy.html].

11.5 Participants should not include unnecessary personal data in recipes, photographs or supporting materials.
11.6 Where a participant submits personal data relating to another individual, the participant confirms that they have all necessary permissions to do so.
12.1 If HP becomes aware, or reasonably suspects, that a submission: (a) infringes third-party rights; (b) contains personal data that should not have been disclosed;
(c) breaches these Terms and Conditions; or (d) otherwise creates legal, regulatory or reputational risk, HP may remove the submission from publication and cease using it without notice.
12.2 HP reserves the right to contact participants to verify the origin, authorship or ownership of any submission and to request supporting information where reasonably required.
13.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability which cannot be excluded by law. 13.2 HP shall not be responsible for incomplete, corrupted, delayed or lost submissions or technical failures affecting the submission process.
14.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
